Georgia’s operas Lavinia and Anna Komnene draw inspiration from powerful women of antiquity. Lavinia, a figure from Virgil’s Aeneid, finds new voice in Georgia’s lush, fully orchestrated score and sung by some of opera’s brightest young stars— performed by the Czech Philharmonic.
